MAG Regional Transit
Framework Study
Maricopa Association of Governments
Seeks Public Input on Transit Needs
PHOENIX (June 20, 2008) — By 2050, what types of transit improvements do you want to see in the Valley? Would you prefer more bus service, light rail, commuter rail, or other type of transit? The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) will hold a series of public meetings this month to hear from citizens about their vision for future transit investments.
MAG is seeking the input to help define the scope of a Regional Transit Framework Study. The meetings will provide an opportunity to hear about existing and future transit opportunities and allow attendees to share the needs and priorities for transit improvements. The feedback received will guide the framework study, which will be used to develop the transit components for a long-range transportation plan through year 2030, with consideration for even longer-range planning through year 2050.
The meeting dates and locations are:
Tuesday, June 24 – 6 to 8 p.m.
Glendale Main Library, Auditorium
5959 W. Brown Rd., Glendale, AZ 85302
Wednesday, June 25 – 6 to 8 p.m.
